Dataa Lakehouse for better decisions at Mercedes-Benz Insurance

A data lakehouse for reporting, transparency, and modern insurance processes.

Starting situation

Following the restructuring, Mercedes-Benz Insurance Service GmbH took over the administration of warranty insurance and introduced a new policy management system for this purpose. With the new system, the need arose to make data centrally available and to evaluate it across different departments.

Reports became a crucial part of daily work: from accounting and controlling to sales management. The goal was to create a modern data foundation that enables transparency and supports future self-service analysis.

What our expert says

Roland Simonis
Team Lead, Microsoft Technologies

„A successful cloud migration requires modern technology, but above all, a profound understanding of the operational business. For Mercedes Benz Insurance Service GmbH, we realized the migration to the Azure Data Lakehouse in intensive partnership with the business units. Because we understood the processes surrounding contracts, balance sheets, and sales at their core, Power BI today delivers precisely the insights needed for informed decisions – future-proof and BaFin-compliant.“
