Starting situation
As part of the SHAPTH project (Interface Harmonization Exchange Platform for Drinking Water Hygiene) at the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL), the exchange of drinking water data in Germany was to be standardized.
Different data formats and systems complicated collaboration between laboratories, authorities, and other stakeholders. The goal was to create a common foundation for efficient and low-error data exchange.
